ShootSmarter University Closing Its Doors

I first heard of ShootSmarter University on a podcast interview with Christopher Grey. I was impressed and immediately signed up for the week long studio lighting course. At that time I didn’t have a studio and I had never used strobes. I didn’t even know what a Pocket Wizard was.

I was nervous and intimidated, but the environment at SSU was incredibly friendly and nurturing. I learned more in the first day than I thought I’d learn all week. Four days later I was amazed by how much I had learned and sad the class was over. My fellow students were great and the staff was amazing. I can’t imagine a more perfect setting to learn about studio lighting for the first time.

I got an email yesterday from Will Crockett, stating that the school is closing its doors. I was shocked.

The good news is that their incredible website articles and amazing instructional DVDs will continue.
