Minnesota Fringe Lottery

Took some pics at the Fringe lottery last night. I tried using a 580EX on a stand with a Pocket Wizard, but the house lights were left up and I didn’t need it most of the time, though I do like the mixing of color temperatures once in awhile. Next time I’ll place the flash closer the the back of the audience

A few alternate images were posted in a slideshow on the Minnesota Fringe site.

Shooting models

Over the last couple of weeks I started shooting with some models to build up a new portfolio. While my website represents me fairly well, I want to expand it to show that my studio work consists of more than simple headshots.

This shot came from a session I did with a model named Kari. She was great and I hope to work with her again.

The lighting was simple: An Elinchrom 600RX with a 17″ reflector/”beauty dish” and a couple of 8′ x 4′ pieces of black foam core to keep light from spilling onto the background.

Stay tuned for more model photos. I’ve got a few in the retouching queue and have more shoots lined up over the next couple of weeks.

Deadline approaching for Twin Cities Unified Theatre Auditions

Whew! I’ve been busy shooting headshots the past few weeks and everyone has been coming in for the same reason: To get a fresh headshot for the Twin Cities Unified Theatre Auditions.

Actor friends, this is your friendly reminder that the deadline to get your application in for the Twin Cities Unified Theatre Auditions is February 16th.

If you need a new headshot to submit with your application, let me know. I can usually turn around the retouching and file delivery within 2 days.
